Principal's Message
Hello Foster High School families! We are thrilled to welcome back all of our scholars to kick off the 2022-2023 school year! Last school year saw us overcome a number of challenges while adjusting to a return to in-person school. In spite of these challenges we saw many successes from students in academics, athletics, the arts, sciences, and many other areas. Our students and staff did a remarkable job of responding to challenges by striving to show up as the best version of themselves and by being supportive of each other. We look forward to building on that progress and ensuring that our students feel engaged, supported, challenged, empowered and have an opportunity to discover and explore their interests and talents.
As a community we are committed to bridging the gap between the school and home. One area we will continue to grow and improve upon is in our communications with our families. Our goal is to establish effective two-way communication to keep our families engaged so that you will understand what is happening in our building, have an opportunity to ask questions and offer feedback. We encourage our parents and families to be actively involved in supporting the success of their scholar by staying up to date with their grades in Skyward and by checking in with their teachers, counselors, and administrators. By working together, we can support your student in having their best possible learning experience so that they graduate prepared to be successful in their path after high school.
Lastly, here are some important dates you may want to add to your calendar. On Tuesday, August 30 we will host our Bulldog Day for students and families to handle the start of the school year logistical items including submitting any paperwork for the school year, school photos, as well as tours for new students, and more. Our first day of school is Thursday, September 1 starting at 8:00 a.m. We will be hosting our open house/curriculum night at Foster on the evening of Wednesday, September 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Enjoy the remainder of your summer. We look forward to seeing your student soon and collaborating with you this year.
